Each online product needed a precise and detailed description to be listed on the web-store. And to fill the item description fields MediaMarkt was extracting product information from Icecat using Stibo Systems’ PMDM solution to store it. However, the process was not smooth as data required lots of manual corrections and checkings before being published to fit MediMarkt format and taxonomy (product data model). Several employees were responsible for the semi-manual and manual adaptation of Icecat data to MediaMarkt Stibo format
