March Product Update: Smarter Imports, Better Automapping & Freemium

We’re excited to share the latest developments from our March release. This sprint has brought a series of meaningful enhancements, refinements, and significant improvements aimed at making the Gepard platform even more intuitive, intelligent, and efficient.

Whether you’re working with taxonomies, managing product imports, exploring automapping, or simply appreciating a polished user experience – there’s something in this update for you.

#1. Smarter Product Creation: PDF Import Gets a Power-Up

We’ve added a sleek new flow that lets you upload a product PDF and – voilà – the system extracts key info like descriptions, bullet points, attributes, and even pre-fills product fields for you. You can still edit everything before clicking “Create,” of course.

• Preview previously uploaded PDFs
• See which data was recognized (or not)
• Easily navigate between recent uploads
• Soon: automatic image extraction and gallery creation too!

Seriously, it saves you a ton of manual work – especially when you’re dealing with dozens (or hundreds) of brochures.

#2. Search That Actually Works

You can now search by attribute name or ID both in attribute mappings and values.
And under every attribute name, you’ll now see the attribute ID – super handy when you’ve got large datasets and need precision.

Small detail? Maybe.
Big difference when working at scale? Absolutely.

#3. Automapping Just Got Smarter

Our AI-powered Automapping now runs in the background. You can:

• Run it on a single feature
• Or kick off bulk mapping by filter (e.g., category-based)
• Watch live mapping progress indicators
• Review suggested mappings (they’re deactivated by default until you approve)

Oh, and we now track changes to automapped features. If you tweak something the AI suggested, we’ll log it – helping us improve the model and giving you insight into what changed and why.

#4. Backend Boosts (for the Tech-Savvy Among Us)

• Faster file downloads via S3 streaming (less waiting, more doing)
• More efficient media exports with international localization support
• Cleaner, simplified localization storage (bye-bye extra repositories)

#5. Freemium Rollout: Try Before You Buy!

Yes, we heard you. We’ve officially launched our Freemium tenant model

• Create and manage up to 200 products for free
• Hit the limit? A simple upgrade flow is built in
• Visible plan indicators in the UI, so you always know where you stand

We’re super excited to open the door to more users who want to explore Gepard’s magic without jumping straight into a full commitment.

#6. UX/UI Touch-Ups

• New progress indicators for exports (no more “Is this stuck?” moments)
• Refreshed empty states and chart placeholders
• Early testing of guided product tours and UI wizards to onboard users faster
