Taxonomy Module

With the help of the Taxonomy Module, Gepard will ensure that your product description tree, no matter originating from a content provider or vendor, is fully in line with your endpoint’s requirements. It will make your products content correctly and appealingly presented on digital shelves. Enroute import of product data from any external source will be simplified, your taxonomy will be corrected for structural errors, and 1-to-1 cross-mappings will be created and synchronized between different content models, regardless of their source.

Within its SaaS platform, Gepard has created a unified data structure, common taxonomy, for storing and managing information on product description trees from different sources.
The common taxonomy is a single structure to which the system will bring any product content model imported from an external source or created within the platform.

To meet product description requirements of various marketplaces, Gepard offers the possibility of creating and editing taxonomies and maintains a comprehensive database of read-only taxonomies of content providers and product databases (e.g. Icecat, Eprel) and international marketplaces (Amazon, Elkjop, MSH).

Finding solutions for various clients, Gepard has created a one of a kind library of measurement units. Now our platform is capable of converting measurement units from any data models to the units in the library to have them correctly presented in product descriptions on your showcase.

Since product content models may be as numerous as marketplaces and web-shops, the platform supports versioning of taxonomies. Depending on the endpoint the product content is addressed to, the user can select and activate the required data model in the applicable database. If requested by the user, the module can be set up to support detecting and reporting changes between taxonomy versions.
